Lasure for wood
Description
Application: The subgrade must be smooth, dry (moisture content < 15%), clean and free of dust and dirt. Paint and varnish residues as well as other old coatings must be removed. Then the surface must undergo sanding. The wood must not show any signs of sapstain. To provide full protection from fungi and insects, or if the wood has not be impregnated, apply a colourless biocide impregnating agent. Paint at a temperature ranging from 10 °C to 30 °C. Stir prior to use. Mixing up during painting is recommended to ensure a uniform colour effect after painting. Rub the lasure stain into the wood along wood grains and avoid damp patches. Two coatings are recommended. Apply another coating after approx. one hour after the first coating. The colourless lasure stain is used to dilute colourful versions. This does not protect from UV, and therefore it can be applied as an independent outdoor coating. Colours can be mixed up. During and after your painting job, vent the room until the odour is gone. The product is intended for the application on horizontal surfaces such as parquet floors and terraces.
Note: The final colour of the painted surface depends on the species and quality of wood, its absorptivity as well as the number and thickness of layers. Prior to painting, a spot test on the target surface is always recommended. In order to maintain a uniform colour, use containers of the product from the same production batch. Coating durability depends on absorptivity, wood moisture content and its conditions and exposure to weather conditions on site. If the surface to be painted is exposed to higher air humidity, a prolonged contact with water or impaired drainage (horizontal surfaces) may shorten duration of wood protection.
Storage: in the tight container within a temperature range of 10 °C to 35 °C. Once subject to freeze burns, the product is not suitable for use. Keep out of reach of children.
